Transitional Personal Training Program
This is a short-term (between 1 to 6 sessions) program of personal training with a fitness trainer who is directly supervised by a physical therapist designed to transition a client from recent injury or a sedentary lifestyle back to regular exercise. This program can also be supervised by a board certified physiatrist ( a physician who specializes in musculoskeletal aches, pains, and injuries) and/or a licensed physical therapist.
This program is ideal for the following individuals:
- You want to join a local health club but you don't know where to begin or if you are unsure if you need medical clearance.
- You are currently exercising and you suffer from nagging muscle, tendon and joint pains and you may benefit from a consultation with a Board Certified Physician specializing in physical medicine.
- You are a relatively sedentary individual with minimal exercise experience and you want to begin a regular exercise at home, your local fitness club, or your community gym and you want a safe exercise program designed by a licensed physical therapist.
- You are a relatively healthy individual but you suffer from old injuries and you want a safe exercise program designed by a licensed physical therapist or consultation with a board certified doctor of physical medicine.
- You recently completed physical therapy for a specific body part but you want a comprehensive exercise program that you can take with you to your health club or community gym.
- You recently completed physical therapy for a specific body part and you want an exercise program that you want supervised by a personal trainer at your local fitness club.
- You want to work with a personal trainer at your fitness club but due to medical issues want a consultation with a licensed physical therapist or board certified physician before you begin.
